The Voice New Testament

January 6, 2011

I have kept this book for quite a while now before posting a review, because it has been immensely helpful for a religion major like myself. This translation of the New Testament has given me an extra resource and go-to while working on homework and papers, but it also very refreshing to go to when I am just looking to read the word. I would highly suggest this translation for everyone’s book shelves, it is a nice addition to any Christian’s collection. The translation is easy to read and offers many great side notes and resources that are helpful for those who are new to the faith, to those who are biblical scholars. This translation is a must have!

Voices of the Faithful 2

November 28, 2009

I have spent many nights reading the devotionals in the Voices of the Faithful Book 2 by Beth Moore and Kim Davis. Each story is different and unique, providing a glimpse into the world that may not be so alike your own, but resonates in your heart. Each month offers a new theme, and allows you to align your heart into what God might be wanting you to hear. The devotionals are short and sweet, but impactful. Definitely useful for those who complain they are not motivated to stick to a devotional plan, this book helps keep the time short but useful. I would definitely recommend this book to those who want something new and refreshing, this devotional book is unlike many out there. Get out of your comfort zone and connect with other Christians all around the world.
